We have heard it a lot, infact during the early days of 2000, it has
boomed in the beauty industry- with patrons, beauty junkies, and curious cats
wanting to try it for themselves. Partly because of the “white mentality”
perhaps, but mostly because alas- a soap that has been generated from a fruit
has come into “fruition” (pun intended).

So why Papaya soap? First, let us
get to know the fruit itself. Papaya is a type of
fruit that grows naturally in Mexico, the Philippines, and throughout several
tropical and sub-tropical areas in both the Western and Asian hemisphere. Its
active enzyme, papain, is what is used in soap to exfoliate
dead skin cells
With the formulation of the Papaya soap, which contains the enzyme called "papain," also
known as "papayaproteinaise",
the main benefit and role of it is to break down certain proteins in the skin so when papain is used in a soap, it dissolves the dead skin cells on the
surface of your face, making it a very
useful exfoliant that aims to reveal new and healthy skin cells.
Apart from its exfoliating benefit it is said to be known that Papaya is also beneficial for lightening the skin’s
layer, and specifically, our skin spots which
is usually caused by exposure to the sun. It also helps in removing tan from
your skin that is caused by several
enzymes it contains.
That being said, Papaya
is also beneficial in the following:
- · It can help treat black spots
- · Treats acne spots
- · Treats brown spots
- · Lightens dark elbows and knees.
- · Tones your skin
- · Improve your overall complexion
If that isn’t a miracle,
then I am not sure what is!
Our Kristine Hermosa
Papaya Soap has all these benefits and more. And, it is naturally organic as
we make use of cold process –specifically because we don’t add wax which is
unnatural- rather than using heat to mold and form the soap (which often has a
tendency to melt the natural extracts and enzymes of the Papaya).
